For the love of Big Red

As part of my work I spend a reasonable amount of time with growers of food and at markets and farmers markets documenting the produce they grow and sell.  

One of my favourite things to photograph is a simple part of so many Australian lives and has been something I have long loved.  The humble tomato.  Big Red !!

Here is a collection of some of the photographs I have taken of tomatoes.  A simple and honest fruit and very yummy, I can eat them like apples.  A sprinkle of salt flakes and straight into the mouth.  Lovely.  

In fact the smell of ripe tomatoes in the afternoon sun is Summer is one of my favourite smells and one of my favourite things to do besides photographing tomatoes is to grow them.  I can never have enough plants in my garden.
